Radial Stent Force
RCM-60-WB Radial Compression Measurement
The RCM-60-WB is a radial compression measurement system that allows you to measure the radial force of stents while being submerged in a 37 degrees Celsius water environment.
The radial compression method is recommended by the FDA for radial stiffness and radial strength testing. Compared to the conventional flat plate or V-block method the results are much more realistic to the in vivo situation. The system uses a crimping head technology specially developed by MPT Europe BV for having zero gap and accurate diameter control. The radial force head is diameter controlled (+/- 0.01 mm) and a load cell allows for precise measurement of the forces exerted on the stent / sample.
For stainless steel or CoCr stents measurement can also executed on systems without a waterbath or temperature control.
The water bath is kept at an exact temperature with a heater / controller that also circulates the water in the bath, ensuring an even temperature distribution. The tool is controlled by a PLC and a PC. The user interface is easy to understand and makes it possible to generate your own radial force test programs with position steps, time delays and force limits.

News :
MPT Europe now has a new
system for measuring the wall thickness of balloons without physical
contact. The measurement system is fully automated. Measurements are
very accurate and repeatable (aprox. 0.0005 mm).
