Production tooling
Bonding tooling (BS and BT-series)
The BS-series bonder has been developed for trouble free production. The design is robust and reliable. The tool is accurate in both die and product positioning. The bonding die set has been fitted in a interchangeable unit. This eases maintenance, and with an additional unit makes fast switching between products possible without having to mechanically readjust dies. It is now also possible to service the bonding dies without production loss. The tool is equipped with a PLC controller. Optionally the bonding parameters can be set to preprogrammed values, including automatic temperature setting. Two advanced temperature controllers will keep the set die temperature within close limits. The tool can be fitted with a miniature color camera system and LCD screen for aiding positioning and inspecting the bonded product. It gives a significant ergonomical advantage over conventional microscope systems.
The BT-serie bonder has been developed for economical production of small series and for R&D applications. The tool combines the accuracy of the BS-series tooling with the extra functionality of triple bonding cavities in the die set. These triple cavities are not intended for three-fold production output, but for a highly flexible tool use. Three different bonds can now be made on one tool without refitting bonding dies. Similar to the BS-series the bonding die set has been fitted in a interchangeable unit. This eases maintenance, and with an additional unit makes fast switching between products possible without having to mechanically readjust dies. It is now also possible to service the bonding dies without production loss. The tool is equipped with a PLC controller. The bonding parameters are set to the preprogrammed values when selecting the active bond cavity. Two advanced temperature controllers will keep the set die temperature within close limits. Optionally the tool can be fitted with a miniature color camera system with LCD screen for aiding positioning and inspecting the bonded product. It gives a significant ergonomical advantage over conventional microscope systems.

News :
MPT Europe BV has developed a radial stent force measurement system. The system uses the stent crimping head technology developed by MPT Europe and is capable of measuring with very high accuracy the radial force versus diameter relation of stents while being underwater in a 37 degrees Celsius waterbath. The technology can be used for temperature sensitive Nitinol stents and also for biodegradable stents. The system can also be used for conventional stents.
