Balloon Pleating and Folding tools
MPT Europe BV offers a
range in balloon pleating and folding equipment. The PT-series manual
pleat tools have been developed for making evenly distributed pleats in
balloons. The tools are easy to use and gives a repeatable pleat in the
balloons. The tools operate in conjunction with the inflation/deflation
tool.
There are a number of different basic versions of pleating tools. The PT3 to PT6 tools make 3 to 6 even pleats in the balloon for manual folding. The PT3-SLA to PT6-SLA make pleats that are used with the MPT Europe BV designed balloon folding heads for automatic folding of balloons . These heads use the same zero-gap high precision heads as the radial tester and stent crimping machines. The heads can be closed with high diameter control (0.01 mm) and can be force limited.
The tools can be made with heated pleatbars to enable heatsetting of the pleated and folded (wrapped) balloons. Balloons upto 300 mm can be handled in fully automated systems.
