Balloon Pleat and Folding tools
MPT Europe BV offers a range in balloon pleating and folding equipment. The PT-series manual pleat tools have been developed for making evenly distributed pleats in balloons. The tools are easy to use and gives a repeatable pleat in the balloons. The tools operate in conjunction with the inflation/deflation tool. This tool will inflate the balloon. The operator applies pressure on the pleatbars and then triggers the inflation tool to the deflation mode. The balloon is drawn vacuum and the pleats are formed. There are a number of different basic versions of pleating tools. The PT3 to PT6 tools make 3 to 6 even pleats in the balloon for manual folding. The PT3-SLA to PT6-SLA make pleats that can be used with the MPT Europe BV design balloon folding heads for automatic folding of balloons .
Optionally the tools can be made with heated pleatbars to enable heatsetting of the pleated balloons. Balloons upto 220 mm can be handled.

MPT Europe BV has developed a radial stent force measurement system. The system uses the stent crimping head technology developed by MPT Europe and is capable of measuring with very high accuracy the radial force versus diameter relation of stents while being underwater in a 37 degrees Celsius waterbath. The technology can be used for temperature sensitive Nitinol stents and also for biodegradable stents. The system can also be used for conventional stents.
